Abstract
Introduction: The authors report the case of a patient with Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia.
Case Presentation: A 64-year-old COPD patient presented with repeated episodes of headache, transient blurring of vision, and numbness of lower limbs.
Clinical Findings & Diagnosis: On examination, he had pallor, hepatosplenomegaly, and features suggestive of congestive cardiac failure. A bone marrow study subsequently revealed lymphocytic plasma cells, which were suggestive of Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia.
Discussion: The cytological features, clinical findings, hyperviscosity, and treatment strategies pertinent to Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia are discussed.
