Abstract

Introduction: Leptospirosis is a serious emerging disease in Kerala, for which there has been no prior technical publication from the region.
Content: This paper reviews relevant references, detailing the prevalence and other epidemiological aspects of leptospirosis, including the rat fauna of Kerala.
Conclusion: The article also outlines several control measures for the disease.
